banana thoran

I love this recipe because it is really easy to make and tastes great. I used robust green bananas in this recipe. You can use any type of green banana but the cooking time varies depends on the variety you use.


Ingredients Raw banana(chopped)-3 Onion(chopped)-1 Green chillies(chopped)-2 Oil-3tsp Salt-to taste Mustard seeds- ½ tsp Curry leaves-1sprig Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp Chilli powder-1tsp Coconut- ¼ cup Garlic-1clove Jeera- ¼ tsp Procedure In blender pulse coconut, chopped garlic and jeera. Don’t grind as paste In a pan add oil then add mustard seeds when it splutters add curry leaves. Add chopped onion and cook till it becomes soft. Then add green chillies and cook for one minute then add chopped banana and salt. Sprinkle little water and cover the pan and allow to cook. Now open the lid and add turmeric, chilli powder and coconut mixture and mix well and cook till the garlic smell goes from the masla.
